Is a really good idea. Even an 'informal' method of tracking consensus
electronically in such a large group as ours (the GA) is a valuable tool.
I would hope that the "authentication methods", such as they are or could be
made to be, would satisfy the skeptics.
Let this posting indicate my support of, in the words of Victor Hugo,
"There is nothing more powerful than an idea who's time has come"
After all, we are in the computer field- let's use them to serve our own
needs.

Dear Mark,
I reassure you that you are not on any dnso.org list.
I checked dnso.org sendmail logs, and found the attached below
(syslog is for one week, starting every Sunday 03:xx CET
the current one started on November 28th).
The only message sent by the dnso.org server to your email address
-- mwalsh@vertical.net -- was the one from webmaster@dnso.org.
Unless you have another email address forwarding to you, there
is absolutely no reason you get anything from the dnso.org.
You are not alone to complain -- I believe we are facing yet another
trap by some fake caracters, relaying messages to BCC list,
and making it apparently from the dnso.org.
I am cc-ing this answer to the Names Council list (all ICANN legal
advisers are here), as well as to the GA-WatchDog commitee and
to John Klensin.
Kind regards,
Elisabeth Porteneuve
