Please forgive me, as I must be missing something.  The ICANN conference will 
be four days, as it was in Cairo and other locations.  Why can't the schedule 
follow that of Cairo?  Is it due to the lack of availability of the largest 
rooms that the ICANN Public Forum and Board meeting?  

After the superb organization and flow of Cairo, this news about Japan comes 
as a real shock.  Leaving the organization of international meeting 
facilities to the NC, GA and Constituencies individually may create a real 
problem for how and whether voices are properly heard in Japan.   This 
meeting may not be such a good idea.
