To the Names Council:

A list of TLD applications that have been received is posted at
<http://www.icann.org/tlds/tld-applications-lodged-02oct00.htm>.  We
have not yet verified that the applications are complete and in proper
form; we went ahead and posted this unverified list to get the
information out as soon as possible.

Please note that the ICANN staff is in a "quiet period" regarding new
TLD applications through 8 October 2000.
