[council] Interim committees
Caroline (and all interim committee chairs)
Milton has replaced YJ on the UDRP interim committee.
Terminology and composition
The four groups we established in Melbourne to implement the bus plan are
"interim committees". They are intended to be small groups of NC members to
work together quickly to propose terms of reference for their respective
issues. They DO NOT need to represent each constituency but any constituency
is of course free to join.
The terms of reference should include a recommendation for the type of
structure needed to implement the bus plan. This may be one of a number of
options:
1. an NC committee - a small group of NC members (typically 3 -5)
2. an NC task force - a group with one representative from the NC of each NC
constituency (i.e. 7 members) (and maybe one or two others eg an ICANN board
member, ICANN staff member, GA chair, etc).
3. A wider consulting group - formerly called working groups but which may
be redefined in the course of this bus plan.
4. Perhaps something else!
Hope this helps.
Philip.
