For the record I am a Director of the Universal WHOIS compnay - Uwhois Inc.
based in Deleware USA with servers around the world - currently receiving
between 800,000 and 1.3 m queries per day.
At the last count 88 ccTLDs had WHIOS services that could be accessed by
http://www.Uwhois.com and including SLDs operated in a ccTLD (such as co.uk,
ltd.uk,plc.uk) we interfaced with 113 TLDs including the gTLDs.
Do remember many ccTLDs do not have on-line WHOIS services (in many cases
don't run an online registration process.
