Markle and Ford do provide travel via the salsberg project.

Dear Peter,
As an expression of interest and committment, I have written to the
Benton Foundation and the CDT to request funding assistance for travel
to Montevideo as you have suggested. There is no point in my contacting
the Markle Foundation as they do not give grants to individuals.
