This I agree with. Let IETF speak for itself - bearing in mind that
IETF is composed of engineers, that standardization issues involve
public policy and economic tradeoffs, and that IETF expertise 
does NOT extend to making such tradeoffs.

ICANN should not try to solve IETF's problems, nor should the 
leverage of the DNS root be exploited to FORCE companies 
to conform to IETF standards, or to conform to IETF's timetable.
