[council] TF transfers
Marilyn,
It is becoming quite obvious that you are unsuited to continue as interim
Chair of this group.
You have been asked to accept the participation of a qualified candidate who
seeks to represent registrants. You have declined to accept this offer of
participation, and have stuck your nose into the business of the GA by
indicating that having Joanna Lane as the GA representative would be a good
approach. Let me make it clear that whomever the GA selects is none of your
damn business.
FYI, only Jeff Williams has announced his interest in joing this Task Force
as the GA representative, and I relish the prospect of foisting him upon you.
At this point in time, you don't even have the right to continue as BC
representative, as your own contested election has not been confirmed, and
your continued presence in the Council remains an affront to our Bylaws:
"The DNSO shall consist of (i) a Names Council ("NC"), consisting of
representatives of constituencies as described in Section 3 of this Article
VI-B ("Constituencies") ***elected*** by those Constituencies."
Not that you seem to care much about Bylaws or Charters or even language that
the NC has already adopted with regard to Working Groups... your only
interest appears to be the self-serving need to seek the Chairmanship of
every committee on which you sit.
You and your cohorts have made every possible effort to stonewall the
creation of an individuals' constituency, and now seek to further deny
registrant rights. Such action invalidates any claim to legitimacy or
consensus that this group might otherwise have been able to declare.
You and your constituency are a blight on the DNSO, and anyone that is in
violation of both her constituency's Charter (the sectoral diversity
requirement) and the ICANN Bylaws has no business being even an interim
chair.
Registrars and registrants are suffering while you and Philip play at games
of exclusion. Step down now and let someone better suited to the task make
the necessary decisions.
