That's not accurate.  The claim on Dave's part is that 1) Strawn
participated in the IAHC, and 2) the IAHC had, partly because of
Strawn's participation, but for other reasons as well, good reason to
believe that the USG was at least partially supportive of their efforts.  

You (and others) claimed that "NSF specifically disclaimed Strawns
*participation* in the IAHC".  This claim is not supported by the facts
presented.  1) The FNC is not the NSF; 2) The FNC site mentions several
times the involvement of Strawn in positive terms.
