Subject: .CA accepting registrars


The Canadian .CA tld is accepting registrars as of August 15, 2000 for 
implementation November 1, 2000 or shortly thereafter.

Key points:
===========
- .CA domains "wholesale" will cost $20/year
- There is a $1000 non-refundable Application Fee
- There is a $1000 one-time Certification Fee
- There is a $1000 annual Registrar Fee
- Numerous "administration" gotchas

OpenSRS previously mentioned that they will incorporate .CA into the 
OpenSRS registration system when it becomes available.

Do we have any forcasted timelines on this?
