Re: Re[2]: [ga] Top Level Domain Association - NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Sotiris,
What is a newbie? If the criteria is the Boston meeting, I fail the
test. At that time I was caring for my terminally ill parent and
attended nothing, had little time for mail lists... However, I've kept
up with the Internet evolution since the early 80's. Am I a newbie?
In addition, there are newbies who have done their homework and
are as well versed in the isues as some of the oldest participants.
Presence on these lists should not be the criteria. I lurked for years
before joining. If a person has little to say, why clutter the list?
That does not mean that he or she does not have the valuable
experience to participate and/or lead. I think it is much more
important to know if a candidate has an understanding of the issues
and the qualities to uphold the position for which he or she is
running.
Just my 2 cents. :)
