No, that is not what should happen. NO ONE should subscribe others to
a list without their explicit permission. Yahoo groups has a policy
against this, as a matter of fact. Had this been a simple issue of a
list move, that is one thing, but this was an entirely different,
unofficial list, with has no relationship to the DNSO or to the GA or
to any official working group.
A single message about the list would have been appropriate, inviting
those interested.

It is NOT a "continuation" list. This effort is entirely private, and
despite the fraudulent perception of its official status implied in
the list greeting, it is NOT related to the DNSO in any way, and is
NOT the same list.
