Sorry, I got carried away a bit. I meant to say that the lottery
system, where anyone can buy as many tickets for a certain .BIZ
(acc. to ICANN) as (s)he likes, made me sick. Not so much the IP claim
system. It should be clear to anyone paying into that, that he gets
hot air.
From my own experience I know that 'grabbing' domains that expire (I
mean com/net/org) every day is a sort of a 'luck' system. Still there
one only pays if one gets the domain. The chances may be inequal
(connections, skills, servers), but it is not a casino. .BIZ is a
casino. _Public resources_ should not be distributed through a
casino.
I will boycott .BIZ (acc. to ICANN) for this reason. I can think of
another reason to boycott it, vid. that there is another .BIZ, which
resolves for some time already. I can, however, stand the power play
of ICANN, ignoring alt roots (though I dont agree with it), but not
this money grabbing casino it established. This really drives me nuts.
Where are we going to? This is no longer a 'game'. This is evil. I
mean it.
