Re: [ga] bringing the rules into the 21st century
WXW, Eric and all assembly members,
Despite WXW's questionable statements to the contrary and a review
of the ga-rules sublist archives it is clear and without question that the
current DNSO ga rules need to be changed or eliminated all together.
Therefore I support a need now for a motion to be proposed. I hope
the Eric will draft such a motion and present it as such to the DNSO
GA so that the GA members can review and vote upon it and
some other work that the DNSO needs to get accomplished can
move forward.
It is also clear after reading the archives or the ga-rules sub-list that
the so called "Buddy System" as proposed by Joanna Lane, has support
as an voluntary program to be considered for a motion on that basis.
Again I hope that Eric and Joanna can together possibly draft a separate
motion to present to the DNSO GA assembly members so that some
progress can be accomplished on this idea. I hope it will be draft as
an up or down vote draft.
In closing I would like to propose that we are all seeing here and on
some
of the DNSO sub lists some good ideas being brought forward that deserve
serious consideration and offer an opportunity for the DNSO GA to provide
for the GA members some viable participation that can result in progress
in addressing serious issues. Of course, like WXW here (See below),
we have some GA members that seemingly are more interested in
negating any potential progress and value to the DNSO GA even
before the GA members that are not on any of the sub-lists have
a chance to review and possibly entertain a motion embodying these
discussions on these ideas from the sub-list I hope that the DNSO
GA members will not allow for this sort of negation influence your
own thinking processes and decisions....
