Surely this is a good thing.  Is it not desirable to have a wide
choice of candidates for an election?

Umm what cabal is this?  And the watchdog committee have no say in who
gets elected other than to verify that the election results are
correct.

I'm sorry but I fail to see why anyone should be upset because someone
has nominated people for GA Chair.  As a potential voter I certainly
would like as wide a choice as possible.
