And not just Australians--one can easily see technically superb people
coming from Mexico, Nigeria, India, Vietnam, or Bangladesh to relocate to
wonderful California. A strong international institution has to be believe
deeply in the rich abilities of all the world's people.
(I take no position on Mr. Crispin's appointment.)

If I am not very mistaken Geneva based (UN) organizations take particular
care to employ people from all over the world. I doubt that it would have
been impossible to find a suitable candidate from, e.g. Australia, who
would be willing to relocate to California.
