May I advise some caution in using www.archive.org specifically in this
context? I have noticed that it works with some sort of assumption that
domains that now show the same webpage also did in the past. Try

www.alcuin.com

at archive.org and look at what it yields. A lot of pages that are
unrelated and mention other domain names. They are thrown together because
they have me as a later owner, directing the domains to one and the same
page 3 or 4 years later. Even the page for a domain I sold
(roarmouse.com), and which now has new content is still among the results
for alcuin.com. So don't trust it as an accurate historical tool esp. for
the type of research proposed. Alcuin.com never showed, despite the
suggestion of archive.org, the webpage for roarmouse.com (which has a new
owner again) or nnl.net or mailpo.com or wwom.com or quickform.com or
swiftmix.com, etc. At a later time these all had the same page, after I
picked them up.
