As you may have read before, the Names Council is reviving the  
dot-org task force in order to prvovide comment on the Request for  
Proposals.  ICANN is going to post the draft on 1 May 2002.  DNSO  
comments are due on 13 May, the final RFP will be posted on 20 May  
2002.

I have asked Marc Schneiders to continue to represent the GA on that 
task force.

The time line for the dot-org reassignment, and the referral to the  
DNSO, can be found in the preliminary minutes from the April 22  
board meeting; resolutions 02.57-02.59.
