[ga] Verisign hit with lawsuit over deceptive renewal mail campaign
Bulk Register is suing Verisign over their deceptive renewal mail
campaign that disguised the domain transfer ad as a renewal invoice.

The mailing also violated USPS postal regulations regarding marketing
mails:

The requirement is that the following phrase must appear in at least
thirty point capital letters on the face of the notice: "THIS IS NOT A
BILL. THIS IS A SOLICITATION. YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO PAY THE
AMOUNT STATED ABOVE UNLESS YOU ACCEPT THIS OFFER."

I know many complaints were filed with the Postal Inspectors over this
issue as well at both local postal offices and online at:
