Good point here George that seems to be mostly missed and misunderstood.
I hope we can expand a little on this aspect in tomorrow's Teleconference.
Some thoughts on this:
I fail to see that WLS benefits IP interests in any meaningful ways. in
fact
as Marilyn rightly brought up and I followed up on as well, it would seem
that IP interests would be forced to use WLS if approved as ICANN
Policy or not should verisign implement WLS anyway. And in being so
forced would still not necessarily in every case benefit at all from it's
use to address the delete issue. Rather as a happenstance approach
to the symptom of the Delete problem issue, potential for damage
to a specific IP interest could be even more devastating as it would
not be readily caught until long after the fact. That should, and I
predict will be particularly problemsom for many IP interests outside
the US in particular...

Our members predominantly agree with you here George. But our members
also recognize that dealing with the Delete problem issue is still and
increasingly
needed.

I wouldn't worry to much about Chuck. I am sure that he doesn't
cry on pay day when he cashes his pay check... >;) However he
may be more recently worried about any Verisign stock options
if he has not already exercised them...
