600 out of 140000 members voted, or less than half of one percent, down
from 3% the previous year.

   Elected Board to Manage Canadian Internet Name Space CIRA announces
   results of 2002 Board of Directors Election. 

   Ottawa, June 19, 2002 - The Canadian Internet Registration Authority
   (CIRA) announced today the results of its Board of Directors
   election.  The online election took place from June 7 to June 13,
   2002 through www.cira.ca.  where members were eligible to vote for up
   to three candidates. 

   Over 600 CIRA members participated in the election.  CIRA wishes to
   thank all eight candidates who took part in the election.  The three
   candidates garnering the most votes (listed below in order of votes
   received) are elected to the CIRA Board of Directors for three-year
   terms:
