Re: [ga] Cavebear overcomes stonewall. Auerbach wins decisively.
Title: Help How many more times must ICANN be shown up as closed, restrictive,
controlling, and determined to limit freedom (particularly the freedom to
express critical or alternative viewpoints)?
The sad thing in all this is that although the Law has shown the Directors
to be in the wrong, the new "reforms" will result in the losers staying in
power, while Karl Auerbach loses his place on the Board when directly-elected
representatives are removed.
The fact that the Law has shown up the Board as placing unreasonable
limitations on the actions of the very person who has challenged their
power-base just demonstrates the lengths to which the Board will go to crush
dissenting voices, to crush democracy, and to keep its self-serving,
self-perpetuating grip on power.
Meanwhile - the consumer suffers from ICANN's accommodation of corrupt
practice, the ordinary user is disenfranchised by ICANN's "reforms", and no-one
(not even Karl) will soon be left on the Board to represent the millions and
millions of ordinary Internet users all over the world.
