Whether you are going to a new lake or if you feel new spots
are needed on your old lake, these ideas can help find new
bass.
1. Get a map with depth contour lines. A good place to start
looking on a new lake would be somewhere with spawning flats
that are near deep water.
2. Check variables such as time of year, weather, available
cover, structure, water color and type of bass food in the
lake. With this information, narrow down your choices.
3. Pros spend a lot of time slowly running over the water
and watching their depth finder. They are looking for cover
and structure that should hold fish. This allows you to
locate places like points with grass or brush piles that
you could never find without the depth finder. Most pros
spend little time talking on the dock and they usually beat
the local experts. Pros look for new spots every week. Dock
talk tells you where the bass used to be.
4. Look for long, sloping points that end in deep water. If
they have cover or ledges they are even better. Check both
main lake points and secondary points back in coves.
5. Look for available cover. Grass is best, then wood and
finally rocks.
6. Pick a small part of the lake and explore it thoroughly.
7. Eliminate conditions of depth and cover that you find are
no good. Eliminate other places that are just like you found
to be no good. Find a new set of conditions at a new depth
or new type of cover. Keep looking at new conditions.

~*~*~*~*~ KOREA - THE FORGOTTEN WAR on video ~*~*~*~*~
For the millions of servicemen who served in Korea, it can
never be forgotten. It was one of the most hard-fought and
bloody wars of all time, over 2,000,000 lives were lost,
including over 33,000 Americans. Now comes this unprecedented
video that is undoubtedly one of the best videos ever produced
on Korea. This is the most complete record of the war ever
made -- from the land, air and sea you will see it all unfold
before your very eyes. The battle footage is gut-wrenching and
the stories unforgettable. Revisit a little known chapter in
American History. To order for $19.98 (92 minutes) visit:

FISHING JOKES CORNER
------------------------------------------------------------
For many years, a warden had been trying to catch an old
fish poacher but had been unsuccessful. Finally, after he
had retired, he asked the old man if he would take him out
fishing. The next day the ex-warden shows up at the dock
fishing gear in hand and was suprised when the old man
showed up carrying only a gunny sack. The old man motors
out to a good looking spot, anchors, then reaches in the
bag and pulls out a stick of dynamite. He lights it,
throws it in the water and after it goes off, scoops up
the fish with a net. The ex-warden is furious and starts
yelling at the old man. The old man calmly lights another
stick, hands it to the ex-warden and says "Did you come out
here to fish or talk?"
