The European Union is debating Opt-in vs. Opt-Out. Austria, Germany, Italy,
Denmark, Finland have already introduced Opt-in, opposed by Britain and
France, who want Opt-Out.
However, Ministers did agree on proposed EU rules that call for immediate
erasure of traffic data after the period required for billing purposes.
Regards,
Joanna
