Yes I have some of this information. The original registrant
after
the IANA released the single letter Domain Names for E.Com
I have personally met with this week and he has all the relevant
documents, which he showed me. As I am not under an NDA
at the moment with him, I don't feel comfortable in discussing
very much detail on this at this time. There have also been
several news articles in the press about this going back to
November of '99 as well of which you can view yourself.
The archives of the DNSO GA mailing list and the Domain
Policy list also have other information regarding the
E.COM fiasco. It still remains unresolved at this time
however. The original registrant, Scott Lowery, which
I am CC'ing on this reply can also update you even better
than I can.
I have personally recommended to Scott, mano y mono
that he seek a legal solution, suing ICANN, Register.com
and each member of the ICANN Board. I have also
began assisting him in helping him secure legal council
(Pro bono) as well as venture capitol for E.COM should
his legal challenge prevail. It has come to my attention
that there is great interest in this Domain Name for
commercial purposes, from various of my private business
sources.
Now that is about all I am going to say on this matter publicly
and
without speaking to Scott Lowery. If Scott wishes to share any
other
information that he has, that is up to him. I must say that I
have
suggested to Scott that he be very careful whom he provides any information
to and to be sure they are under a strong NDA before doing so.
I will add that my personal feelings are that Scott Lowery was
ripped off. The evidence he has strongly indicates this, as well
as
the information that has already been publicly vetted.

Jeff,Regards,Do you know the situatiom rgarding E.com? Do you have links to any
articles on it? I'd be intrested in information on it.I remember not long ago IANA had almost all the single letter domains
reserved. Now it seems something happened with Register.com
re-registering many of them, I hadn't heard anything about this
previously.Thanks,
