*Any* organized group can do this, not just industry. Governments,
political parties, religions and religious groups, trade unions, trade
associations, standards bodies, schools, fraternities, clubs, etc. And
the fact that organized groups of individuals can provide more
individual votes than a single individual is simply a tautology.
