Hello Marilyn,
I can't find it right now, but I'll look this week for it, there was a
report that even in the countries with large numbers of registrations
under their ccTLD (suck as .uk and .fr) that com/net/org were still
the leading TLDs for registrations.
I think the "people will want to be under the ccTLD for their country"
statement is a myth.
This is most especially true when the ccTLD's policy forces them into a
third level domain situation instead of a second level domain.
