I don't agree that it is a better approach. As a matter of fact, the
current rules spell out why the current approach is being taken.
I think that this concept was floated way too close to the current
election to be taken under consideration at this time. If you want to
try and convince enough people that this system is superior to the
current one, you have time until the next election to do so.
I, however, do not believe this is a better approach. Again you end
up with people possibly "Settling" for the best "combination" rather
than electing the two best possible candidates.
The combination is not nearly as important.
