The idea of competition in this context has always been to force prices down and
to give others an opportunity to gain benefits. My idea is that the price
should always be held down to the lowest level for Registries. With set amounts
delegated to research and development, also for funding ICANN activities.
However, I am not opposed to having competition at the Registry Level. Just
that I would rather non-commercial entities be given the responsibility for
administrating them, not commercial interests.
