You may be misunderstanding. I was agreeing with you, off-handedly.
Most users don't know ... further, they don't want to know ... and they
shouldn't have to know...
I also agree that the new.net approach has serious problems. However, they
are the only one that is using that particular approach. I might also point
out that you are known to be aware of that and have been for some years. I
wouldn't consider you a model of the innocently ignorant user. You are far
from innocent ... :>
