I don't understand how 48 hours of discussion on the slowest weekend 
on this list in a long time can be considered "fully debated".

A stacked deck of 13 or 14 supporters hardly represents a majority, 
but would explain your undo haste to get this passed before anyone 
returns to the list who might object. 

If the present ratio is an accurate indication of the desire of the list 
members then further discussion of the motion for the next few days 
will demonstrate that clearly.
