People are free to voice their opinions or not. In the light of the
overwhelming majority of support for Patrick Corliss's proposal from
respondents this indicates that either those that are not voicing an
opinion are happy with the consensus to date, or that they don't care
enough one way or the other.
In any case it doesn't invalidate the mechanism or necessitate that
everyone vote(assuming they are afforded an equitable opportunity to do
so) for the results to be valid, your objections to those results
nonwithstanding.
I personally think that the sublists are an unecessary invention created
to address the arbitrary posting limit which is the real source of the
problem, however I don't feel strongly enough about their existence
to "vote" no, or claim that 336 people need to explictly respond before we
can get on with the real work at hand.
