That is, from the point of view of the parties to the contracts on
the lower end of the food chain, the UDRP behaves quite precisely
like a law: The parties can't change it, but public opinion
(legislative body) can.
Thus, arguments along the lines of "it's all contract, not law" and
"you don't need to register a domain" may be correct in a very
formal sense - but they don't catch the substance of what's
happening.
