Reality shows things are different: there are already many ICANN-accredited
Registrars.
IMHO, there is really no justification for the request of having all escrow
data in the US: it is obvious that EU data will be equally safe in Europe -
this is just a political point.
Anyway, the matter is being examined by the Registrars, will be discussed by
NC that will hopefully make a recommandation to the Board, and will be one
of the items of the security-focused agenda in MdR.
