Once again, you need to deal with facts, rather than dogma.
Small businesses are in *fact* well represented in the BC. In addition
to the points that Bret made, there is also the *fact* that the BC
includes associations that represent businesses as well as businesses
directly. Most notable among these is the International Chamber of
Commerce, which represents hundreds of thousands of small businesses.
And, if you are a small business that cares, you can join directly.
(Though I agree with Bret that the dues should be lower.)

In addition to providing a vote, the BC very conveniently provides a
moderated mail list that limits the amount of traffic that the busy
small businessperson needs to endure. If one does want to "discuss" ad
nauseum, one can of course join the GA list for the unexpurgated stew.
