This isn't quite the case. A suggestion has been made by one or two
people that this could be considered. No decision has been taken yet
on who will attend the next ICANN meeting.
A complicating factor is that the NZ GAC rep is also the Chair of our
.nz oversight committee (in a personal capacity) so is arguably
eligible to attend in both roles.
