But as with ICANN, there is no direct participation of users and they must
rely upon governments to address those issues. Without direct user
participation, there is no more advantage for users to suport ITU than
there is to support ICANN. Heck, in the US, the government has eroded
user's rights rather methodically based on influence of the corporate
sector. Users are steadfastly ignored when it comes right down to
crafting
legislation or rules that effect them.
