Venenum in cauda, John.
The present contract structure is a one-sided take-it-or-leave-it adhesion.
From time to time this insidious argument comes up that the easiest way to
get yourself some security against shenanigans is to buy "protection",
rather than struggle for your rights.

Ten-year registrations is the billion dollar cash-flow that registrar
CFO's and shareholders are praying for.

How about the name on your birth certificate? That's also important to you.
Anyone for privatizing the registry of births and selling 10-year
"protection" against identity-theft?
