RE: [nc-deletes] Re: Where are you?

There was a call. You should have received the call-in information.
Apologies if you did not.

Summary of the conversation:

- We considered each of the comments made. Bret is going to try to
write up reactions to each comment.
- As a result of the comments, the mmbers of the task force present on
the call believe it is a good idea to add a bit more detail to
recommendation 3.1.4 to indicate what exactly registrars are specifying.
- Goal is to have the tasks above complete by the end of the week,
another call early next week (Monday tentatively proposed) to discuss
and to have the final report complete by Rio.

I was unable to attend. My only issue was handling expressly
registrant-requested domain name deletions, which if properly made,
should be processed with dispatch, and which should address some issues
raised in the comments. I can envision circumstances where a registrant
may legitimately want, and should expect, a domain name to be deleted
promptly in response to an express request (for those registrars which
permit registrant-requested deletions - not all of the registrars
provide this as an option). My response to other issues raised in the
comments is reflected in prior messages sent to the comments address and
on the deletes email list.

John
