[nc-intake] Intake Committee announcement

Dear Intake Committee,
as you know the NC gave its blessing to our report last week and so we are
up and running.
I propose that we now communicate the new procedure to all those we listed
in the report (see below) as being eligible to contribute to the agenda and
suggest the following draft. Please let me have your agreement today Monday
September 25 as the period of notice for the next meeting expires Wednesday
28 September !
Elisabeth please confirm the mailbox address is correct and is working.

The DNSO Names Council (NC) agreed last week to create an Intake Committee
(IC) to assist it with the preparation of agendas for NC meetings. The IC
invites suggestions for agenda items from the following groups:
- members of the Names Council
- the Names Council secretariat
- the ICANN Board
- members of the ICANN Board
- the ICANN officers and staff
- the GA chair
- members of the General Assembly (GA) defined as subscribers to the
ga@dnso.org, announce@dnso.org or the GA voting register.
- subscribers to an active DNSO ad hoc working group (currently D and E).

Agenda suggestions may be submitted to agenda@dnso.org

In order to give sufficient notice to NC members and to allow time for
consultation within constituencies items must be received 21 days before the
date of the meeting.

We welcome your input now and up until 28 September 2000 for agenda items
for the Names Council meeting 19 October and up to 24 October 2000 for the
Names Council meeting of 14 November 2000.

(We apologise for the short notice for the next meeting due to the fact this
new procedure is just starting.)
