Re: [nc-intake] External speaker for LA

Philip and all,

Since I participated in this DNSO/ICANN process,
this is the most confusing part I have been facing.

Who can decide this is going to be

    - a forum for advocating any constituency's position
    - a ballanced open forum

Please listen to the other side of constiteuncy and world, too.

I am here quoting Michael Froomkin's concern whose view
can be shared with many group of people or constituencies
who have not been consulted with in this process.

Until there is a gurantee NC can have a balanced presentation during the NC
meeting, I hereby express my objection to Francis' presentation.
Thanks,
YJ

YJ, thanks for your e-mail. I do understand your concern but believe what we will hear from Mr Gurry is not a one-sided opinion.

Francis Gurry is Assistant Director General of WIPO, a specialised agency of the United Nations. WIPO is one of the organisations administering the UDRP and now in its second global consultation process on domain names. We will be hearing insights into these and I for one believe those insights will be valuable. If you like, Mr Gurry may be able to help layout the options for the NC to subsequently debate, consult upon and at that point hear all opinions on those options.

Philip.
