Harold,
I could not agree more. In fact when people ask John nicely it has been my
experience that he is a very cooperative person. I guess the only thing I
would have done differently is ask nicely in a private manner via phone. It
has been my experience that email at times, especially public postings, can
be a very impersonal means of communication.
