While I think the decision is interesting for a lot of reasons, it shouldn't
affect the work we're doing in this task force. The Court ruled that an
aggrieved party couldn't sue a domain name registrar for defamatory
statements made by a registrant. If followed, the case may mean that certain
U.S. remedies are now unavailable in a court of law, but it doesn't change
the requirements on registrars and registrants within the ICANN arena (or
alter ICANN's ability to enforce its own contracts).
