[registrars] Registrar constituancy elections

Fellow registrars....

The three names council delegates from the registrar  constituency (ken
stubbs,erica roberts,&  paul kane) have been asked to conduct & oversee
the upcoming elections for offices in the registrars constituency.

we expect to start the process next week with the following steps:

1. we will announce formally the ballot on Wednesday July 11

2. candidates on the ballot will be given until Monday July 16 to
prepare & post any formal position statements, CV's, etc. to members of
the constituency.

3.on Tuesday July 17 the voting (BY SECRET BALLOT) will be opened and
ballots will be sent by the DNSO secretariat to the  designated
representative of each one of the members of the registrar constituency
for their vote. the representative will submit  the ballot and copies
will be sent (BY THE SECRETARIAT)  to all 3 of the overseers.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DESIGNATED  REPRESENTATIVES OF "ALL" MEMBERS OF THE
CONSTITUENCY WILL BE RECEIVING BALLOTS REGARDLESS OF YOUR CURRENT DUES
PAYMENT STATUS.

4. the voting will last for a specified time period of at least 7 days,
but may go as long as 10 days (actual period will be announced in the
next few days when the formal ballot is submitted)

5. from today thru the end of the voting period all members of the
constituency are encouraged to bring their dues payment status to
current.

when the voting is closed the overseers will receive from the
constituency secretariat a list of all registrars whose payment has been
received in-hand by the secretariat or wired direct for credit to the
registrar constituency account.

6. WE (i.e. ken stubbs,paul kane & erica roberts)  WILL THEN TABULATE
THE BALLOTS FROM ALL MEMBERS WHO HAVE PAID THEIR DUES THRU THE END OF
THE BALLOT PERIOD AND WHOSE NAMES ARE ON THE LIST RECEIVED FROM THE
SECRETARIAT.

by allowing the additional time during the ballot period for members to
remit payments we are giving each member who desires to
have a voice in the selection process to bring themselves current so
their ballot may be counted.

we hope this procedure meets with your approval and assure you that we
will have the results back to you on a timely basis.....
