COURT RULES DOMAIN REGISTRATION CONTRACT RIGHT, NOT PROPERTY
The NY Supreme Court has ruled that a domain name does not
constitute a property right but rather represents a contract
right governed by the terms of the registrar's contract.
The case stems from a suit against Register.com by the
domain name owner of laborzionist.org. The owner was
unhappy with Register.com advertising on the site while it
was being constructed. Decision at
