RE: [registrars] IP Conflict mails and deadline of 20th March
There are more issues -
Check "http://www.neulevel.biz/faqs/distr_methods.html"
"In order to proceed with the application, an applicant needs to follow the
instructions on the conflict notice. A domain name applicant will have
approximately 2 weeks beginning on March 11, 2002 to make their selection."
Neulevels website still states that the deadline is 2 weeks from March 11th.
Infact the conflict email is the only piece of communication which states
that the deadline is March 20th. And it does not say that prominently.
A large number of Registrars may have resellers too. To trickle this notice
of change in schedule from Registry -> Registrar -> Reseller -> Client maybe
impossible.
I am of conviction that a large number of IP Claimant domain applicants will
end up not being able to respond to this new deadline.
Infact for smoother operations i would suggest a deadline of atleast 30th
March. However even if the deadline is moved to 25th March it will atleast
keep orignal plans intact.
