RE: [registrars] Questions for PIR for on the .ORG Redelegation

Bruce's list covers most of our operational questions as well.

A couple of questions were raised during the RC call today that would be
good to get answers to.

Has an agreement actually been signed between PIR and ICANN?
And has there been any discussion of extending the transition completion
date in some manner?

These may questions that Dan can answer as well.

Rick,

Thanks for taking the lead on this.

Our questions include:

- Will the conversion from directing RRP commands from VGRS to PIR be as
simple as changing the port/IP?
- As an operational .info registrar, will there be any OT&E testing
requirements for .org?
- When will registrars get .org Registrar-Registry Agreements to allow their
legal staffs to review?
- Will all current VGRS .org registry policies and procedures be followed by
PIR at the time of transition? Specifically, issues such as debit account
funding, 5-day delete cycle, 45-day grace period after term expiration, etc.
- When will PIR transition to EPP (instead of the RRP to EPP conversion
tool)?
- When will the new .org add-on products be available?
- When will PIR change existing VGRS .org policies and procedures?

Those are some of the operational questions that we have, assuming that the
transition will occur as scheduled, at midnight, PST, on 12/31.

Regards,

Bruce

Registrars:

Please post your questions for PIR on the .ORG Redelegation. I will
attempt to summerize these questions and have them to the right person at
PIR before the .ORG discussion on monday.

Your questions will ensure we get the answers we need as there will be a
lot for registrars to do over the holloday season to make the transition
smooth.
