Great points all around Bob. I think the key here is to increase the
pace of innovation by registry operators. Neulevel and Afilias
represented significantly better (overall) registry systems than
Verisign did at one time - but all of these registries are largely the
same now that Verisign has had some time to catch up to the new kids on
the block.

When ICANN puts new players into the registry game, it will be a
pleasure as a customer to take advantage of the new policies, procedures
and technologies that the fresh faced recruits will add to the mix.

In the meantime, I suspect that the status quo will be fairly status and
somewhat quo. I am open to being surprised by any of the non-registrars
on the cc: list though ;)
