[registrars] RE: Registrar Mailing List
I understand. You may want to keep the list closed to conserve your
resources, but post the archives of your list on the web. This is what we
have done with the registrars constituency mailing list. In fact, I have
personally provided David Johnson and one of your employees with this URL.
This function is very easy using majordomo - I would even being willing to
lend a hand. I believe this would help keep with the open and transparent
mandate that is so often echoed.
Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Michael D. Palage

Mike,
Thanks, but the list is open to only those registrars that have been
accredited, have signed the accreditation agreement, have been the subject
of written notification from the Department of Commerce to Network
Solutions, AND have been started on the path leading to technical
certification. The companies to which I sent my email fulfill those
criteria.
As you can appreciate, we don't have unlimited resources and, although we
want to bring on as many as possible as quickly as possible, we don't want
to start someone down the pipeline if we have reason to believe we won't
have the resources to be able to support them.
Dave

With regard to your recent posting concerning the opening of the Registrar
mailing list, there appears to be several companies that were omitted. If
you would like I could provide you with a list of all of the registrars and
their e-mails. As interim secretariat of the Registrar constituency I
probably have the most complete list of anyone.
Best regards,
