[announce] Alejandro Pisanty elected for 3 years term at the ICANN Board

The Names Council noted and confirmed the election of Alejandro
Pisanty from Mexico, Latin America/Caribbean Islands region,
as the ICANN Board member to serve for 3 years.

The election of the second candidate, 2 years term at the ICANN
Board is begining now.

The full results including individual ballots will be made public
at the end of the election process.

The election mechanism used by the Names Council
to elect the ICANN Board members is decribed in:

Andrew McLaughlin verified that the votes cast in the various 
rounds of the election had been correctly counted.
